About Workspace Tested
Honest home office gear reviews, built on research and clear labels.
Choosing a desk, chair, or monitor is an expensive decision, and most online reviews don’t help. They repeat spec sheets, hide the downsides, and push whatever pays the most. Workspace Tested was created to do the opposite.
Who we are
Workspace Tested is an independent review site for people who work from home in the United States. I’m Daniel Carter, the site’s editor. I research, compare, and write about the desks, chairs, monitors, keyboards, lighting, and organization gear that make a home office more comfortable and productive.
Daniel Carter is the pen name of the site’s editor.
What we cover
- Desks and chairs: standing desks, ergonomic chairs, and small-space desks
- Tech and monitors: monitors, monitor arms, laptop stands, docks, and webcams
- Keyboards, mice and audio: ergonomic keyboards, mice, headsets, and microphones
- Lighting and environment: desk lamps, light bars, air purifiers, and noise control
- Organization and small spaces: cable management, shelving, and apartment office ideas
How we review products
- We research first. We study specifications, materials, warranties, and return policies, and we read verified owner feedback.
- We test what we can. When we use a product ourselves, we say so and show our own photos and notes.
- We label every review. Each article states clearly whether a product was tested hands-on or researched only. We never present research as personal testing.
- We list the downsides. Every review includes cons, because a review with no flaws is an advertisement.
- We keep articles current. We update popular guides and show the date they were last updated.
How we make money
Workspace Tested is reader-supported. We earn money in three ways:
- Affiliate links. If you buy through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This includes the Amazon Associates program and other affiliate programs.
- Advertising. We display ads, including ads served by Google AdSense.
- Sponsored content. Occasionally, we may publish sponsored content, which is always clearly labeled.
Commissions and ads never decide what we recommend, and brands cannot pay for a positive review. If a company sends us a free product, we will say so in the article. Read our full Affiliate Disclosure.
Our editorial standards
- We recommend products because they fit a real need, not because they pay more.
- We include products that don’t pay us when they are the best choice.
- We correct mistakes quickly. If you spot an error, email us and we will fix it.
- We don’t give medical advice. Ergonomic information on this site is general guidance only.
Our promise
If a product isn’t worth your money, we’ll say so. If we get something wrong, we’ll fix it. And if the best choice for you is the cheaper one, that’s the one we’ll recommend.
